County commissioners and people living on Highway 97 have argued about the wind farm commissioners bounced the idea saying it was too close to homes, Gov. Chris Gregoire said too bad and signed off on the farm anyway.

Commissioners took the issue to the state supreme court and they sided with the governor.

"People's property value that should be taken into consideration," said Dorothy.
"We need alternative energy and I think where that is I don't think it's going to bother anybody," explains Michelle Clark.

The windmills will be Northwest of Ellensburg on both sides of Highway 97, they can have about five dozen turbines on the property.
