Car Tires Slashed in West Valley
By Audrey Asistio
YAKIMA -- More than a dozen cars in West Valley have been left with slashed tires. Residents are shocked, saying this never happens in their area. Lions Loop Street and Totem Village Trailer Court were both hit. Neighbors say they moved to this side of town in hopes to get away from crime, but the crime is getting worse.
“This is the second time in our neighborhood we've been hit. It's been 6 to 9 months and it's getting rather frustrating,” says a resident on Lions Loop. Neighbors are now planning to build a gate around their area to keep their property protected. Police say crimes like this rarely happens in the West Valley, but they're still keeping a look out. |
