New Walgreens Bringing 60 Jobs

Yakima -- Walgreens is bringing more than 50 jobs to Yakima.

Work is continuing at the new Walgreens on Yak Avenue and 7th.

The new drugstore should be open early next year.

Starting pay is $8.50 an hour up to even $14 an hour.

Joetta Woodward says, "I think not only the jobs that will be available they do have good buys and it's close and the store clerks have always been really friendly and treat you really nice."

Walgreens officials tell Action News they're also planning a new location on 64th Avenue and Nob Hill.

Each store will need 30 new employees.
