BENTON COUNTY, Wash. -- The man charged with murdering a young Richland mother was officially arraigned Tuesday. Court papers say Larry Miller stabbed Rebeca Vandeventer 30 times.
Police say the brutal attack happened in front of her children.
Miller pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.
Action News obtained court paperwork Rebeca filed in the weeks before her death. She was trying to get a restraining order against Miller.

In her own handwriting she wrote "Larry has a temper that he can't control" and that she didn't want to live in fear.
Vandeventer had a court date to make the restraining order official just days before she was killed.
The county clerk's office confirmed that Rebeca didn't show up to court.
Miller is being held on just $250,000 bail.
Vandeventer grew up in Yakima and attended Eisenhower High School.
