Man suspected of baby's death will return to Tri-Cities

TRI-CITIES, Wash. -- The man accused of killing a nine-month-old Richland toddler is coming back to the Tri-Cities.

Jose Luis Aguilar waved his right to a hearing in California and officials from Benton County have ten days to go get him.

Aguilar was arrested in California last weekend and charged with manslaughter in the death of Serenity Reedy.

The county prosecutor believes he was trying to flee to Mexico when he was caught in Southern California.

Aguilar had recently moved in with the baby's mother.

According to court papers, the little baby was killed by trauma to her head. But there was also severe trauma to her genitals.
