Attempted murder charge for man accused of shooting his uncle

YAKIMA, Wash. -- The Harrah man accused of shooting his uncle is now charged with attempted murder.

David Fernandez's first appeared in court Monday.  He was originally booked for first degree assault.

Prosecutors charged him Wednesday with first degree attempted murder and assault.

Deputies said Fernandez shot his uncle six times in the back and once in the head.

Roberto Ocampo-Ursino remains in a Yakima hospital.

Deputies said Fernandez got angry when his uncle wanted to end their sexual relationship.
