2 arrested for drive-by shooting that sent 4-year-old to the hospital

The Adams County Sheriff's Office arrested two people in connection with a drive-by shooting last week that sent a 4-year-old to the hospital. Here's the official news release:

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office has made two arrests in the above drive-by shooting. On May 13, 2013 at about 5:00 p.m. the Adams County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at 2173 W. April St. Othello, Wa.

Upon executing the warrant one suspect that we had been looking for was found at the residence. That suspect is identified as Garza, Felipe Michael 19 years of age and resides at the April St. address. Garza was taken into custody and booked at the Adams County Jail in Ritzville on five (5) counts of First Degree Drive-by Shooting.

While at the residence a second suspect arrived and Chavez-Serna, Cesar 19 years of age 300 block of Elm Othello, Wa. was taken into custody and booked into the Adams County Jail in Ritzville on five (5) counts of First Degree Drive-by Shooting.

Both suspects will be arraigned later today May 14, 2013 in the Adams County Superior Court.

Seized at the April St. address was a brown Nisson passenger car, believe to have been used at the time of the shooting. It was taken to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office and the Washington State Crime Lab will be processing the vehicle for evidence, today May 14, 2013.
