Service Project In Selah
By Robin Woodson
SELAH -- Beehive members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints will make care packages for soldiers overseas, children and mothers in Iraq and Afghanistan, and blankets for local premature babies and the elderly.
They're asking for help from volunteers as well as donated items. "Just knowing that somebody cares about them and that a group of youth got together thinking about them and thought of a way to make life happier and easier for them," Service Project Coordinator, Eva McDonald, said. If you would like to help out, organizers say any and all help is welcome. They also say they have more than enough stuff, so if you know a soldier who could use a care package, they're also taking addresses. |
