SIFE Student Struggles
By Robin Woodson
TOPPENISH -- Students in the Free Enterprise Program at Heritage University won a regional competition.
Their projects include coming up with ideas to help market programs or businesses. Now the group is headed to Chicago for nationals, but they're $2,000 short for the trip. The students plan to still go even if they end up in debt, because of the big opportunity. "We really don't get to see the big picture outside of the valley, so this competition let's us get out and see what's out there," SIFE Student, Sherezade Guerrero, said. All 28 members are scheduled for the trip. Fundraisers and raffles are planned to help them catch up on funds. |
