Weather Website Provides Round-The-Clock Forecast

Yakima -- It's called Ag Weather Net and is run by Washington State University.
It has 111 weather stations and provides vital weather information like wind, soil moisture and dew point. The information is updated every hour and helps local farmers prepare for the elements. Mark Barrett, Barrett Orchards says, "Helps me determine when I'm going to turn on my water for the frost, when I'm going to turn on my wind machines and whether or not I'm going to need the heater that night." The website is free to use and covers the entire state of Washington. |
