MISSION-- The Confederated Tribes of Umatilla County celebrated the biggest event since Wild Horse Casino opened more than a decade ago.

Cayuse Technologies will employ 450 people. There are currently about 100 people working there.

Tribes celebrated the opening of the brand new, state of the art facility at Monday's dedication. It is the first business to operate in the Coyote Business Park, east of Pendleton, near Wild Horse.

"It's just kind of how our tribe is," said Debra Croswell, of the Confederated Tribes. "We're open to new ideas and we're not afraid to try things."

The tribes have been working behind the scenes for years to get the business up and running. It will serve as a software development site and call center.
