Felon makes first court appearance since his capture
YAKIMA, Wash. -- A day in court for the man who dodged Yakima police for weeks. Jacob Lucey put on a show for the media Monday.
Lucey is the man who was let out of jail for 24 hours after telling the court his mother was dying. Lucey didn't bother returning after his time was up.
He faces nearly a dozen felony charges including armed robbery.
It's expected he'll face new charges as well.
Bail is set for $50,000 and police hope Lucey doesn't have the cash to meet it.
Do not be so naive. This guy has been in and out of jail and will be for the rest of his life. Hopefully mostly in jail. Lock him up and toss the key. Oh yeah  way to be an imbecile judge. Are you going to let him out for Thankgiving as well. Maybe give him money for dope and a gun while you are at it. 50k bail after he has skipped out already??? Stories like this are why the public have no faith in the system.
you all are so freaking rude. His Mom is dying and this is someones life you all are just talking like it's some sort of game or joke, its not his Mother has cancer and several medical problems you guys are all the scum bags and obviously have nothing better to do than try to ruin Jacob and his Families lives. My Prayers go to Jacob and his family and as for you negative low life scum bags that are running their mouths about people and things they know nothing about.... you all need to go pray you don't ever end up getting accused of a bunch of made up charges and have to be in jail for stuff you didn't do while a very close family member such as your own Mother is dying. Much love and respect for you Jacob Lucey and Linda Cook and family <3
Barring any foolish judge or ignorant prosecutor working to let him out he won't be going anywhere. His family does not have 2 nickels to rub together. Make sure you watch your purses and wallets though, because they will rob you blind for  bail money, trust me I know.Â
