YAKIMA, Wash. -- A Yakima man is in custody under mental evaluation after a standoff with police. The man was hiding in a home on North 22nd Avenue off River Road for more than two hours.

As police tried to get him to come outside. It started with a call for a domestic. The father said his son had a gun and was asking for money.

"I came up to get the paper and thought who's parked in front of our house you know and then I started looking up and down the street and there's cop cars everywhere," said neighbor Barbara Bush.

The results of the mental evaluation will determine if charges are filed.
