Second suspect charged with murder in downtown shooting — 23-year-old Irving Alvarez

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Formal murder charges are filed against the second suspect accused in last week's deadly downtown shooting.

Prosecutors charged 23-year-old Irving Alvarez with second degree murder. He also faces weapons charges.

Police say Alvarez and a 15-year-old shot a man in the head last Tuesday near the transit center.

Bail for Alvarez stands at $1 million dollars.
