Semi-truck gets stuck on Terrace Heights bridge

TERRACE HEIGHTS, Wash. -- Terrace Heights Drive was closed at 18th St. for much of Wednesday after a semi-truck got stuck on the side of the bridge.
A tractor trailer crashed into the side of the Terrace Heights bridge and was hanging over the edge.
The driver apparently lost control on this bridge near Sarg Hubbard Park around lunch time.
The truck went up and over the side of the bridge.
There's no word on the driver's condition.
Witnesses worried about what could happen.
"I looked and I saw that it was leaning over the bridge and I was thinking that the driver was hanging off the other side or that the bridge was going to collapse or maybe that the truck was gonna fall off the edge of the bridge," said Billy Walters.
Traffic backed up in both directions for hours. At one point, the bridge was closed as crews removed the truck.
The driver is my Brother-in-law, he's in the hospital with back pain and we are waiting on more test's and scan's. His wife and all of us would like to thank the people who responded to the accident and the medical professionals. We also ask that if you would like to say a prayer, we would appreciate that.Thank You
My Daughter and I were in the 3rd car and witnessed the semi was coming straight at us in our far right lane, we were able to qucikly change to the far left oncoming lanes and I believe the Lord had Angels there to protect us, we did not receive a scratch only the nerves after the fact. We are praying for the Driver and his family if he has one.
@Clara Thank you for your prayers, we need them.
I hope the driver is alright mediclly; boy is he in a world of hurt !!!
the truck was not "hanging off" the bridge, It was up on the jersey rail that divides the sidewalk from the lanes.
