HERMISTON, Ore. -- A Hermiston man is back in police custody for the 17th time. Jeremiah Ayers hit his 63rd charge.
Police caught Ayers driving a stolen car. They say he had a lot of stolen property with him. Officers are working to return it.
“If ever there is someone that needs to sit in jail long enough for us to finalize this investigation and ensure his crime wave is properly accounted for, it is Mr. Ayers," Chief Jason Edmiston said.
Ayers is charged with multiple counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and theft.
