Taylor Bridge Fire 91% contained
CLE ELUM, Wash. -- The Taylor Bridge Fire is now 91% contained.
A spokesperson tells KIMA that they hope to have the fire contained by next week.

On Wednesday, resources have been reduced to 806 firefighters, two dozers, and 63 engines. That's down from the close to one thousand firefighters, 11 dozers, and 102 engines on scene the previous day.

As of 6 p.m. Wednesday evening, all remaining level 3 evacuation areas have been reduced to level 2 so all residents should be able to return to their homes.

There has also been another reported injury, which brings the total number to two. Both are minor injuries, the first injured firefighter received treatment for facial burns and Tuesday another firefighter for a cut to his leg.

The Kittitas Sheriff's office is estimating $8.3 million in damage to the 57 homes lost and the ten that were damaged as a result of the wildfire.

On Friday, command of the Taylor Bridge fire will be given to a local type 3 team.
