Crews expect to contain Taylor Bridge Fire sometime Monday

KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. -- Fire crews said they plan to burn out remaining dry fuels Monday in an effort to strengthen containment lines around the Taylor Bridge Fire.
Increased smoke can be expected in the northwest corner of the fire.
Crews plan to focus on areas of the fire between SR-97 and SR-970/SR-10. Mop up continues in these areas.
Emergency Level 3 evacuations are in place for areas in the northwest portion of the fire and Level 2 evacuations for the Southeast corner of the fire.

Officials have been overwhelmed by donations at the Taylor Bridge Fire Camp and cannot accept anymore donations at that site. Click here for other ways you can help.
The fire has been burning for nearly a week. It broke out a week ago 4 miles southeast of Cle Elum.
More than 1,000 firefighters are on scene.
The fire is now 23,225 acres in size. Crews estimate around 70 homes and even more structures burned in the fire.
