West Side Runaway's Criminal History

YAKIMA -- We may never know what happened to a teen runaway found dead by orchard workers.

Yakima county sheriff's detectives confirmed Thursday, Jaleeza Lobdell, was also a teen prostitute.

Although the county coroner has ruled 14-year-old Lobdell's death a murdere, the sheriff's detectives won't probe further into her death because they said they don't have the resources to look for the men Lobdell was last known to be with.

The men are said to live on the west side. Authorities there won't actively look for them either because they're not the lead detectives on the case.

Investigators believe Lobdell died of an overdose. Moxee orchard workers found her charred remains last fall.

She was reportedly last known to be with her pimp and two other men. Investigators said at least one of those guys buys his drugs here, and that's why the men took Lobdell to east side of the mountains.

Action News pulled Lobdell's criminal record, which showed she was 13-years-old when she was charged with third degree assault and second degree escape. At 12 she was charged with theft.
