Arrest made following 5 arsons in 2 months

ELLENSBURG, Wash. -- Ellensburg Police arrested a 20-year-old man in connection to five arsons that caused more than $325,000 in damage.

Investigators say Zacharu Vantuyl set last weekend's fire at the first united methodist church on ruby street.

It burned the church's community clothing center and all its donations.

Police think Vantuyl also started fires at a food bank, two homes and a barn at the fairgrounds.

They credit neighborhood searches and help from witnesses for leading them to the suspect.

Vantuyl faces several charges, including first and second degree arson.
