16 school bands compete for title in Yakima
YAKIMA, Wash. -- The 13th Annual Harvest Marching Band was held earlier today at Eisenhower High School. It’s a competition consisting of 16 local school bands, all competing for the title.

More than 1,500 students and teachers attended the event. Parents and supporters filled the bleachers.

“It's the first times they've made placement in the categories, so we're just really excited. They worked really hard and they're going to do a good job and we're here cheering them on,” said Darlene Limanni, whose son is in the Bonney Lake High School band.

KIMA learned this joint fund is the number one fundraiser for the Arts Departments at Eisenhower and Davis.

All proceeds go toward future band competitions.
