ELLENSBURG -- In Ellensburg, an effort to get people to shop and buy local seems to be paying off.
Retailers we talked to say they've seen a huge increase in sales from last year. Shoppers tell us they would much rather support local businesses than wait in long lines at big chain stores.
Meantime, Some store owners say their confident about this holiday season, and are already seeing two to three times the number of shoppers come through their doors.
