Grandview teen murdered in gang shooting
GRANDVIEW -- An 18 year-old Grandview man is dead after being shot by gang members.
It happened at a house on Second Street only a block away from Smith Elementary School. Many of you contacted us after seeing substantial police activity in that area. Details are still limited, but police say several known gang members live in the neighborhood and they think this shooting is gang related.
Neighbors say they're shocked that such a horrific crime would happen in their community.
"These kids do what they do, and they do it between themselves," says neighbor, Ann Crist. "The kid next door was always really polite and never a bother."
The Sunnyside K-9, along with officers from Prosser and Mabton, helped with the search for the gunman. He is still on the loose. Call Grandview Police if you have any information.
