CWU students playing Santa Claus
ELLENSBURG -- Some CWU engineering students are taking on the job of Santa's helpers.
They're part of a class that's making wooden toys for children at a Seattle hospital and other local organizations. They're making more than 600 toys to drop off next week. Students say it's a great way to learn and deliver beyond the classroom.
"Yes, it's taking a class, but it's so much more than that," says Joe McWIlliam. "Knowing that you're able to give back, it's just exciting."
Student say they will paint the wheels on all the toys, but leave the rest up to the children.
