Yakima wine served at the White House
YAKIMA -- A local winery here in Yakima, has been picked to have its wine served at the White House. Sparkling wines from Treveri Cellars were selected to be served at the State Department's holiday receptions.

The wines chosen for the events are the Extra-Brut Chardonnay and Syrah Brut. It all started with a tour and tasting for a customer who turned out to be Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton's chef. The owners were shocked.

"You just don't hear about that in Yakima,” said Julie Grieb. “You know here in Yakima, having people from Washington D.C. coming through your little tiny tasting room."

The winery is just a year old. If you would like to taste the White House wines you can visit their tasting room on Second Avenue, right here in Yakima.
