Congressman Doc Hastings Talks Government Shutdown In Yakima
YAKIMA -- Congressman Hastings made a stop in Yakima. KIMA took the chance to ask him about the possible government shut down and how both sides have to work together.
"I get very frustrated because our system of government is two houses and both houses should do the work their supposed to do," says Hastings. "The House passed their budget which is the most important document last spring, and the Senate hasn't even passed a budget out of committee."
Hastings says incentives for job creation are key as well as certainty of relief funds and tax benefits.
