Toppenish Murder and Arrest
TOPPENISH -- A 47 year old man is dead after being stabbed several times. Just before 5pm Saturday, KIMA captured video of an arrest in progress in relation to this crime. The arrest happened at the All Star Motel in Yakima. Action News has information that the arrested man may have used a fake ID to check into the motel and evade police.
Police say the man who was killed Saturday morning in Toppenish was stabbed several times on the 300 block of Chehalis Avenue, just before five a.m.
They were originally looking for two people of interest in connection to the murder. One person has been arrested.
The initial call this morning in Toppenish was for an "assault in progress."
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
