YAKIMA -- Yakima's Violent Crimes Task Force, Kittitas County Sheriff and the U.S. Marshal's Service conducted a sweep throughout both Yakima and Kittitas Counties as part of a statewide effort to capture hundreds of felons on the run from the law.

It resulted in dozens of arrests, and, as always, several surprises. Our Photojournalist, Nick Campfield had the only camera rolling during this sweep. Watch the video attached to see law enforcement in action.

Statewide, these local and federal agents arrested more that 174 men and women with outstanding felony warrants. Here in Yakima, more than three dozen were captured and locked up in the county jail. Despite the danger, the only injury suffered by the officers was the dog bite you can see on the video.
