EASTERN WASHINGTON -- Another quake rocked Japan late Thursday, knocked out power to the northern part of the country. This latest earthquake means there's still more work to be done in Japan.

People around the Columbia Basin keep stepping up to help.

At our local Red Cross telethon last month, we helped raise thousands of dollars.

Our biggest donation came from Mid-Columbia Insurance with $1,000. Now the company is tripling that with another check for nearly $2,000 sent to the Red Cross Thursday.

They did it by matching clients' donations dollar for dollar.

"You can't watch the film on what's going on over there and it not tear your heart out. The suffering is so bad and whatever little we can do to help, we just felt like we had to do it," said co-owner Cliff Morgan.

Action News has learned Mid-Columbia Insurance clients from the Tri-Cities, Yakima and Sunnyside all donated.

And we're proud to say the grand total for the Fisher family is now well more than $600,000.
