YAKIMA, Wash. -- A brush fire was contained at 10 acres in West Valley Thursday afternoon.

Roads were blocked off for an hour for firefighters' safety.

The fire happened on Summitview Avenue between Rocky Top Road and 123rd Avenue. Firefighters say a couple of homes were threatened. But the wind shifted a different direction.

A small fire jumped to the other side of the road. But it was quickly contained.

Firefighters say it appears to be suspicious.
