Maybe now "Bachelor" Sean Lowe can spend more time with his fiancée, Seattelite Catherine Giudici. The fan favorite, who was often clunky on the dance floor, was eliminated from "Dancing with the Stars" last night. But that wasn't the only surprise on last night's elimination episode.
For the first time ever, Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough, who have largely been in the top two this season, were in jeopardy, while soap star Ingo Rademacher and partner Kym Johnson were safe.
Jacoby Jones and his partner Karina Smirnoff were also in the bottom two, but were relieved to find out that they hadn't been axed.
"He made it so fun," said Lowe's professional partner (and close friend) Peta Murgatroyd.
Lowe, who came to "DWTS" fresh off the heels of his turn on "The Bachelor," was a surprise castmember -- but his star power with reality TV audiences didn't seem to translate on the dance floor, where he was frequently in the middle or even the bottom of the pack.
Lowe's closeness with partner Murgatroyd launched more than a few rumors that there was trouble in "Bachelor" paradise, but, says Giudici, the two have never had a stronger relationship. Perhaps some time out of the spotlight is exactly what they need?
With just five couples remaining, "DWTS" is officially into the semifinals. It'll return Monday with a new episode.
