We're not just telling you the economy is bad, you already know that. So we're helping you get an edge in tough times. Action News is rounding up the top ten job search websites for you.

The days of kitchen tables covered in classified ads is out, this is the were the action is now. Job seekers hitting up free Wi-Fi spots to look for work.

"The internet is the best way to get yourself out there."

I uncovered the top ten websites to help you find the right jobs, according to PC Magazine.

Simplyhired.com takes listings from major websites, newpapers and companies and puts it all in one place. And they take it one step further by letting you send your resume on five other sites for free.

The best-known site is probably monster.com, but the hidden benefit here is that monster offers advice on resumes, interviews and salary scale.

The lesser known jobserve.com claims to advertise more than 2.5 million jobs in 15 industries.

Theladders.com makes you pay to take advantage of their high-paying job services.

On the flip side, snagajob.com is the opposite of theladders, it is for people looking for hourly jobs. The site partners with companies like 7-11, Red Lobster and AT&T.

Looking for a government job? USAjobs.gov is the spot to start. It's the official jobsite for the federal government.

Something less official, less flashy is good old Craigs List. You can find more than free stuff or rants and raves. This is the granddaddy of online classifieds and it keeps your job search local.

Here's a big job search website with local ties. Careerbuilder.com works in connection with the Tri-City Herald because the paper's owner also owns Careerbuilder. The top job for the day is a tasting room manager for a Prosser winery. A national website with local access.

Younger job seekers are all about social networking sites like facebook and myspace, so sites like Tweetmyjobs.com and Linkedin.com take that concept and apply it to job serach.

It's a new twist on the old standby: "it's about who you know".

Now you can know more people by getting yourself out there on the web.
