YVCC budget still unknown for next school year

YAKIMA, Wash.-- YVCC trustees met to discuss next school year's budget but presentations were pushed back to a later date.

The college told KIMA the legislation process is slower this year because of the governor transition. The special session for the legislature is set to start Monday. That's when state budget issues will begin. It will end in June, but the governor has 20 days to officially sign the budget. So for now, students might not know about fee increases until July.
