Woman on life support after shooting outside movie theatre

UNION GAP, Wash. -- A woman was shot multiple times Thursday night outside The Majestic Theatre in Union Gap. The 45-year-old was on life support Friday morning. Union Gap police originally told KIMA and other media outlets that the woman had died. They later said that information was incorrect.
Yakima County Coroner Jack Hawkins identified the victim as Cynthia Kelly-Munzanreder.
Officers said the shooting happened in the theatre's parking lot around 8:40 Thursday night. Police believe she was leaving a movie.
Union Gap Police rushed to the scene on S. 14th Street. They say a suspect ran off and the K-9 unit was called out.
Officers surrounded the nearby Toys R Us on E. Washington Ave., even putting police on the roof of the building. There is no word yet on if the theatre was put on lock down.
No suspect is currently in custody.
Details about the shooting victim remain limited. As of Friday morning, we have learned she lived in Yakima County.
Union Gap Police call this "an isolated incident" and say they are actively working the investigation. It is not believed to be gang-related.
No one else was hurt in the shooting.

This is Yakima and the society we all live in. My prayers and thoughts go out to the family. People just need to be aware that things like this can anywhere at anytime. I hope they catch the person(s) responsible for this act . Life can be way to short, no one knows what today or tommorow may bring.
its sad my prayers go out to the family i know wat it is like to have someone on life support...but also its pretty sad that a shooting at a family place its like its not safe to go any were anymore.Â
KIMA you say in your rules to post is to stay truthful!! Should you not do the same?
STOP WITH THIS REPORT!!! Where do you confirm your information? As a family member it is horrible to hear bad reporting. She has not passed away at this point. She is in critical condition and on life support. Please confirm your info before reporting. Geeze!!!
KIMA does this all the time. I think they are so rushed to be the first to report they will report anything they want. They do not care who they hurt or the lives they ruin!! So sorry about you loved one. I hope she makes a full recovery! Prayers going out to you!!
@LuzRosario oh no!
