YAKIMA, Wash. -- Action News learned all charges against Lance Nanamkin will be dropped. Yakima police said Eastern State Hospital ruled he's incompetent to stand trial.

Nanamkin is the man who led police on a high speed chase and fired at officers back in 2011.

He got into a wild shootout with police where more than 70 shots were exchanged, prosecutors said.

Nanamkin got hit six times, including twice in the head.

Investigators said he was armed with an assault rifle when he lead police on a chase from Toppenish in a stolen car.

Nanamkin was convicted in a gang shooting more than ten years ago.
