OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) - A Washington state government building has reopened after authorities completed their assessment of a suspicious package.

Sgt. Paul Erdahl said Tuesday that the package emanated an odor that led 10-15 people in the Health Care Authority complex to complain about headaches or tightness in the throat. A SWAT team assessed the package and determined that it was not dangerous.

The Health Care Authority oversees eight health care programs, including Medicaid. Gov. Chris Gregoire was supposed to be in the building for a meeting at 2 p.m., but it was canceled before she arrived due to the situation.
