New Details In Murder Case
Sunday's shooting in Kennewick left 22-year old Wendy Rae dead.
And her boyfriend -- Jason Jansen -- in the hospital.
But as Action News found out today -- Jason is recovering.
He is now in satisfactory condition.
And Kennewick police say Jason is still key to their investigation.
Police say they are working with Seattle detectives.
The coroner confirmed today Wendy Rae was killed around two in the morning.
But police weren't called to the scene until around seven am.
That leaves a time gap of five hours where officers have no idea what happened.
Wayne Woodard is one of the couple's neighbors:
"I don't know when he got shot. I can't see someone walking around being shot at two in the morning with a bullet. You know? But it's possible."
Police are treating Wendy's death as a homicide.
That means she didn't kill herself.
And since cops aren't looking for any suspects -- that leaves only Wendy and Jason at the scene of the crime
