YAKIMA --- People are rushing to get their last minute health care perks as the end of the year approaches.

We called several eye care centers in the Yakima area, and nearly all say they were slammed with last minute eye appointments and contact and glasses orders New Years week. The Central Washington Eye Clinic alone saw nearly a third more people. "A lot of places have spend-downs or what they call, ‘cafeteria plans’ where they use their benefits or they lose it," Donna Hatch explained.

Call your health insurance plan to know if you have money left to spend before the end of the year.
