Yakama Nation Pays For Gaming Violation

Toppenish - A financial hit for the Yakama Nation. Tuesday it was announced that the Tribal Council has resolved its violation with the National Indian Gaming Commission.
" It was over the distribution of a tribal stimulus payment done around Christmas time last year," said Tribal Council Chairman, Ralph Sampson, Jr. The Nation agreed to pay the United States $5,000 to settle the matter. Sampson Jr. said it there was some miscommunication on both sides. |
