Yakima - She's accused of having sex with a 16 year old student. Now Michelle Taylor will lose her job.

Taylor is charged with first degree sexual misconduct. The East Valley School District sent Taylor a termination letter this week. The decision came after the district's own internal investigation.

The school district's attorney, Michael Patterson said, " We went ahead and verified some things and went back and checked some items and it did not change our opinion that there was probably cause for her termination."

Taylor has been on paid administrative leave since June. She has ten days to appeal the district's decision. If that happens, the school district will continue to pay her until a judge determines the final outcome. Taylor's criminal trial is scheduled for the end of December.
