Grandview Business Pays the Department of Ecology Fine

The Grandview fuel distributor charged with having corroded tanks just settled a fine with the D.O.E.

R.E. Powell was hit with a 30-thousand dollar fine. This was the company's fifth citation in the last 15 years.

A deal has been worked out. Powell will pay 10-thousand dollars Instead of paying the remaining 20-thousand, they agreed to create a training program so that employees know how to respond to emergencies such as a fuel spill or fire.
