Drunk driving is causing accidents early in the holiday weekend.

Thursday afternoon, outside of Selah, a car rolled over several times. The driver says he swerved to miss a dog, hit gravel, and then started rolling. It happened along North Wenas Road. The Sheriffs Department believe speed and alcohol were also to blame.

Yakima Sheriff Deputy Scott Swallow says Thursday has been a busy day for accidents. "It's going to be a long weekend." he said, "It's supposed to be 101 degrees tomorrow (Friday) and there will be a lot of alcohol involved."

But he says the department is about to increase the counties law enforcement to stop bad drivers. A major emphasis will be one speeders.
