Selah Superintendent Picked

By Stacy Lilienthal

The Selah school board just decided on their interim Superintendent.

"What we were seeking was an individual that was well qualified, had experience as a superintendent, and was really keen on helping us transition to the permanent position," said Selah school board president Todd Trepanier. That man is Dr. Steve Chestnut. He just retired from the Moses Lake School District and was unanimously picked by the board. Chestnut made it clear he will not be applying for the full superintendent position, so the board said they would start that search this winter. The school and Dr. Chestnut will be working out a contract.
