Selah Searches For New School Superintendent
By Melissa Wagner
Selah needs a new Super. With Deborah Howard, school superintendent, leaving at the end of this month, the district is hard at work trying to get someone in quick.
Howard resigned last month, following a mutal decision with the school board. But her resignation followed a series of public protests over her decision not to bring Selah High principal, Joe Jones back next year. Jones will be back, but will work with a new leader. " So we're looking for theperson with an "S" on the chest, that perfect person. We'll be looking for someone to balance the academic needs with the athletic needs, just the whole, what the community works for. It's quite a challenging position," said Todd Trepenier, School Board President. The board will review applications and cut them down to their top 3 choices. Then you can meet the candidates and find out more about them June 22nd during an open meeting from 3:30 to 9:15pm. |
