Car Prowls On the Rise

ELLENSBURG -- The sun is out and so are the car prowlers. Ellensburg has been hit with a number of car break-ins. Since last month, 26 cars were broken into. That is a third of the usual number of car prowls all year, and police expect that number to keep growing. Central Washington University students say they are fed up. Student Brian Johnson told Action News, "I don't think that's right. I don't think they should be doing it, you know? They're eventually going to get caught. What goes around comes around, huh?"

Police say a lot of people are getting hit by leaving their car windows down.
