YAKIMA -- Dozens of veterans and their families honored Memorial Day at Yakima's Sarg Hubbard Park, Monday. Veterans from the Korean, Vietnam and Iraq wars all reminisced of their experiences in combat. They say their service to our country was all worth it. Sgt. 1st Class Bryan Gerken recently fought in the Iraq war. He told Action News, "People always say thank you for serving, but they don't understand, it's been an honor. We live in a very great country."

In several weeks, the veterans are planning to move their War Memorial from downtown Yakima, right next to the Korean/Vietnam Monument at Sarg Hubbard Park. They say it will be a lot safer that way.
