Selah School Superintendent Moves On
By Audrey Asistio
SELAH -- She served just one year as Selah's School Superintendent, and already, Dr. Debra Howard wants out. The Selah school board says, that is fine with them. The board claims the "mutual" decision is not over the recent disputes between Howard and the high school principal. They say it is simply what's best for the community.
Selah School Board President Todd Trepanier told Action News, "There's no hard feelings with this resignation. It was a mutual decision. It just felt like this was the best for everyone involved to move in this direction." Howard will still receive a full year's compensation after her contract ends in June. The school board is already working on a replacement, and they have a list of prospects to start them off. |
