Civil Rights Activist Comes to Town
By Eileen Park
Dolores says, "I think most of the students are being told no you want to get out of agriculture because you don't get paid anything, which is true... it would be wonderful if some of them would think "ok" well i'm going to come back and organzie farm workers in to a Union so they all get better wages."
On the 13th, she spoke to over 100 people in a crowded "higher education program" facility to speak mainly on Agriculture, Immigration, and Female Empowerment. |
