Police: 'Driver Responsible For 2 Accidents'

Yakima -- Not just a hit run but a hit and run then a few blocks later a hit again. Yakima Police are investigating two accidents they say caused by the same woman.

Action News was first on the scene as Yakima Firefighters used the jaws of life to get the driver of this white car free.

Yakima Police tell us this was the second accident she was involved in.

Before this they say the driver slammed into a car on 3rd Street and Beech.

She hit a Honda after failing to yield then according to police she continued driving and made it three blocks before she collided with a pickup and spun into a power pole.

Sgt. Bob Hester, Yakima Police Department says, "Two of the violations are infractions in which there's no jail time the hit and run does carry a penalty of jail time."

Yakima Police say they driver is being treated for broken ribs.
