Police Searching For Suspect Involved In Stabbing

Yakima -- Yakima Police are trying to find the suspect.

Police say 46-year-old Steven Sterling died after a fight on a sidewalk early this morning.

This is video of Parkside Apartments in Yakima.

Neighbors tell Action News this is where the fight went down.

Sterling was stabbed once in the chest, neighbors say it was the victims mouth that got him into trouble.

Tiffany Eubanks, neighbor says, "Well see he was drunk and argued I guess which caused an insult on the guy that stabbed him in the heart, he was Jamaican so he dragged him down the stairs."

Police say a man was seen running from the area they need your help tracking him down.

He's described as about 40 years old, 5-foot-9 and 190 pounds.

His hair might be pulled back into a ponytail.
